This is a house made of three pavilions surrounding an open-air patio, called by Better Homes and Gardens a “California-type” design for the Chicago area. Year-round access to open-air outdoor space was provided for the living room, gallery space, and’ bedrooms with a separate master-suite. Some furniture was built-in, others custom-designed, including a 24’ long bench, and a bed with pivoting headboard for TV. Since demolished, the house is largely only known through drawings.
